About project

Verdant Skincare began as two founders, a formula they believed in, and a retail slot that opened in ten weeks. There was no name, no brand and no packaging — and a shelf already full of competitors whispering “clean” and “natural”. Visuolab built the whole thing, from the word on the carton to the carton itself.

How it went

Four phases, one team throughout

    1 week

    3 weeks

The botanical illustration, type, colour and a tone of voice for the packs.

    • Illustration systemBotanical line
  3. Step #3

    Packaging

    4 weeks

Challenges

What we had to solve

  1. 01

    Starting from nothing

No name, no brand and no packaging — just a formula and two founders who believed in it.

  2. 02

    Ten weeks to the shelf

The retail slot was already booked, so every decision came with a deadline.

  3. 03

    A crowded, whispering shelf

Every competitor already claimed “clean” and “natural”; Verdant needed another way to be noticed.

What changed

Results

  • 100% of the first production run sold out
  • 12 SKUs by the end of year one, up from 3
  • 41% higher shelf pick-up in store tests
  • A single botanical illustration flexes from tube to carton to website.
  • Uncoated stock and one spot colour: the calmest thing in the aisle, and the most picked up.
  • We stood at the press for the first run. It shows in the first run.
